Last Updated Oct 26, 1997 RAD 2 The controversial 1% county sales tax, enacted into law as RAD a few years back, actually contains provisions for half the money to go to building infrastructure including stadiums. (The other half was to replace a controversial property tax that may have been unconstitutional). This money has been used for other projects (perhaps valid in their own right), and thus there is not enough cash left to build the stadiums. It is not that this wasn't tried before - it is just that they need more money. What happens when this new "1/2%" is not enough? How much is enough?
